6 Festivals Completed in 1 Summer

The Springboard Team has just completed (the previously unimaginable) 6 Festivals during the summer of 2009: Coachella (April, Palm Springs), Rothbury (July, MI), Mile High (July, Denver), All Points West (Aug, NJ), Lollapalooza (Aug. Chicago), Austin City Limits (Sept. TX). Working with John Rubey/Network Live, and with promoters at Goldenvoice, AEG Live, Madison House, and C3 Presents, Springboard was asked to produce and deliver multiple HD Video programs at each Festival including for the Fuse Network and others, and live webcasts with iClips Network and Hulu. At 4 of the Festivals, Springboard worked with Action 3D, who captured a headliner stage in true 3D, intended for Cinema release. Highlights of the Summer included shooting headliner sets with Paul McCartney, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, the Killers, Jane's Addiction, Bob Dylan, String Cheese Incident, and many many more.

Warped Tour 15th Anniversary in Cinemas

The Warped Tour celebrated 15 great years touring the country from coast-to-coast with an anniversary celebration Sept. 6 at Club Nokia in LA. Highlighting the show were numerous artists who got their start on Kevin Lyman and 4fini's one-of-a-kind Warped Tour: Bad Religion, Katy Perry, blink-182, Ice-T & Body Count, All-American Rejects, Rise Against, NOFX, and many more. Springboard Productions produced an 8-camera HD shoot of the proceedings, and finished a 2-hour concert feature that was shown in 450 theaters by NCM/Fathom just 10 days later. In addition to the performances, numerous interviews highlighting hilarious Warped memories were produced by Mike Meadows and New Wave Entertainment. And Spencer Proffer of Meteor 17 was instrumental in getting this project to the finish line.

Fuse HD TV Special from Lollapalooza

The Lollapalooza Festival is among the most picturesque in the land, as it sits up against the Chicago skyline, right next to Lake Michigan. Add to that the line-up C3 Presents had at this year's Fest, and it's no wonder that Lolla is widely considered one of the the Big 4 Fests in the nation. This year Springboard was asked by Network Live (working with promoter C3Presents) to create a one-hour TV Special for the Fuse Network to be delivered just 4 days after the last show's finale, and to be broadcast just 1 day after that. With great cooperation all along, (and very little sleep), the FuseFest from Lollapalooza Special included performances from headliners Kings of Leon, the Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jane's Addiction, and Snoop Dogg among others. The special was narrated brilliantly by Lollapalooza founder (and Jane's Addiction lead singer) Perry Farrell.

McCartney Webcast from Coachella

All roads lead to the Beatles, and Springboard was on that road during the Coachella Festival in April. One of the world's legendary Festivals, this year's Coachella headliner was none other than Paul McCartney. In addition to witnessing a 2-hour sound check the preceding night with an audience of maybe one hundred, Springboard produced the live webcast for the AT&T Blueroom of all the showday's performances, culminating in the live transmission of Sir Paul's performance. And that man can still rock it, and all 70,000 attendee's can attest.
